Aladdin Benali

 

Aladdin is an Advisor to the Labour Campaign for Human Rights.


Aladdin’s primary interests are promoting a human rights centred UK foreign policy and supporting domestic human rights protections, such as the Human Rights Act and access to justice. He has previously advised shadow cabinet ministers on a range of issues including on human rights conditionality in trade deals and UK environmental and human rights due diligence.


Aladdin is a practising lawyer at a leading international law firm, specialising in sustainability and business and human rights. He studied at University College London and obtained an LLM before training at a ‘Magic Circle’ law firm.


Aladdin has previously worked for a Labour MP and as a civil servant in the Ministry of Justice. Aladdin was formerly the Head of the Human Rights Act Campaign at the Labour Campaign for Human Rights.
